My story

Perry is an active, spunky young male who we consider the class clown. He is always on the go and ready for a good time. He is good with dogs but a proper introduction is needed. He will need someone that can be active with him and get his energy out. His new family will need to teach with consistency and have some patience while he is learning the new rules of the house. Perry is about 1 year old and is happy and playful. He takes a minute to warm up and may bark a bit at new people but once he gets to know you (which happens pretty quickly) he will be yours forever! He is about 9 lbs and loves to play with other dogs. He loves sleeping in high places and is always in a “lookout post” when resting or relaxing. Perry is a loving dog who needs an owner who is a “pack leader.” He still needs socializing and we are actively introducing him to new people at the rescue as we can. He is so smart but also tends to become overly protective of his people if he feels he does not have a strong leader. His adoption fee is $325 He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair every dog and family for a successful and happy life.
